Sometimes we find ourselves standing in the desert amidst tragedy, sadness, loneliness or just self-pity. Do not despair my friend, as there is ALWAYS a light at the end of the tunnel. It just most often looks far different than we expected it to look like. And in the midst of such personal despair or tragedy – Remember! It can always be worse and is worse for someone, somewhere around the globe.
I had the privilege to see Nik speak earlier this year and it came during a time of great personal struggle. It is no wonder the struggles began to slip away and into perspective the longer I sat and listened to this marvel of a man. As I am privileged to help wrestle children out of abusive arms in SE Asia I often find myself pondering how unfair this world really is. Nik, Istill feel this way but simply cannot grasp the magnitude of a man that you are. Never could I have imagined aspiring so high to even be a man who is so “little.” But in the grand scheme of what life is all about (and nothing is by coincidence) he is such a model. Kudos!
Thank you for your life and the inspiration you will be in the minds of countless life-struggling humans around the world we occupy. God bless you brother!
